SUEKAZU INARI JINJA (THE SHRINE OF THE GOD OF HARVEST)
-- The Guardian Deity of Dissemination of the Truth, Good Harvest and Happiness

Going along the Ryugu (the Sea God's Palace) approach through a red torii (the Shrine Gate) and cross a red arched bridge, you will reach to the Suekazu Inari Jinja, the Shrine of the God of Harvest.

In March 1930, the Holy Master Dr. Masaharu Taniguchi founded Seicho-No-Ie as a philosophical movement by issuing the first monthly "Seicho-No-Ie" magazine. His wife Mrs. Teruko Taniguchi visited the Inari Shrine in Kyoto, the guardian of business prosperity and good harvest, to pray for the increase of its subscription for promotion of the Humanity Enlightenment Movement. Since then, Dr. and Mrs. Taniguchi had offered prayers for development of the dissemination of Seicho-No-Ie teachings for forty-five years.

On October 19, 1974, in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the foundation of Seicho-No-Ie, the Divine Spirit of Inari was enshrined at Seicho-No-Ie Uji Temple and opened its divinity to general public.

The Guardian of Inari, the Guardian Deity of Good Harvest, Happiness and dissemination of the Truth, its sacred virtues are indeed profound, as it has shown us since the establishment of Seicho-No-Ie Uji Temple.
